Clone document

The following example shows you how to clone (deep copy) a Word document using the clone method. The cloned document is an independent copy that can be modified without affecting the original document.

import com.independentsoft.office.word.Run;
import com.independentsoft.office.word.WordDocument;

    public static void main(String[] args)
    {
        try
        {
            WordDocument doc = new WordDocument("c:\\test\\input.docx");

            WordDocument clonedDoc = doc.clone();

            Paragraph paragraph = new Paragraph();
            Run run = new Run("This paragraph was added to the cloned document.");
            paragraph.add(run);
            clonedDoc.getBody().add(paragraph);

            clonedDoc.save("c:\\test\\cloned.docx", true);
        }
        catch (Exception e)
        {
